Outline of Ehime's New Business Set Up Promotions
(a) Designated Factories, etc.
�¡Requisite Standards for Designation Status
  (1) Business Category: Electrical machinery and device manufacturers, 
        precision machinery and device manufacturers, transport machinery 
        and device manufacturers, experimental research businesses in the 
        areas of advanced technology, and other businesses that the governor 
        recognizes as potential contributors to the development of Ehime.
  (2) Factory size: Over 2,000 square meters in total floor area.
�¡Subsidy Grants
  (1) Grant Amounts: 5,000 yen per 1 square meter of total floor area of 
        manufacturing facility and experimenting/researching facility. 
  (2) Usage Designation: Environment conservation, public welfare and 
        disaster prevention security facilities.
  (3) Maximum Limit: 150 million yen
�¡Employment Promotion Grants
  (1) Grant Amounts: 300,000 yen per 1 new full-time employee.
  (2) Usage Designation: None
  (3) Maximum Limit: 50 million yen
  (4) Eligibility Conditions: Newly employ over 30 people living in Ehime 
        Prefecture.
�¡Funding (to Small & Medium Sized Businesses)
  (1) Fund Amounts: One-half of the costs of acquisition and development 
        of industrial land, and furnishing facilities with equipment.
  (2) Maximum Limit: 100 million yen
  (3) Eligibility Conditions: Rate of Interest - will fluctuate in accordance 
        with the market's rate of interest.   Term of Redemption - 10 years 
        (including the unredeemable period of 2 years)
(b) Factories Affiliated With Designated Factories (Small & Medium 
      Sized Businesses)
�¡Eligibility Conditions: Must be a continuous supplier with over 50 
   percent of production of raw materials, parts, materials, etc. supplied 
   to factories of designated status. 
�¡Funding: Same conditions as those for factories of designated status.

Industrial Land Leasing Programs, etc.
�¡If the Subject Leasing the Land is Ehime Prefecture
� Eligibility Conditions
   (1)Business Category: Electrical machinery and device manufacturers, 
        precision machinery and device manufacturers, transport machinery 
        and device manufacturers, experimental research businesses in the 
        areas of advanced technology, and other businesses that the 
        governor recognizes as potential contributor to the development 
        of Ehime.
   (2)Condition: Must begin business operations within 2 years from lease 
        contract date.
� Favoring Measure
   (1)Leasing Prices:
        Land - Standard taxation price of inheritance tax X 4.0/100
        Building - Estimated value of building(s) X 12/100
   (2)Favoring Measure: Reduction of leasing price to one-half (maximum 
        limit - 10 million yen per year).
   (3)Period: Less than 5 years.
�¡If the Subject Leasing the Land is the Ehime Land-Development Agency
� Eligibility Conditions
   (1)Business Category: Same as above.
   (2)Condition: Same as above.
� Favoring Measure
   (1)Favoring Measure: The Ehime Land-Development Agency will lease 
        the land at an inexpensive price (price will be discussed case by 
        case.) 
   (2)Condition: Reservation for purchasing the land within 5 years.
�¡If the Subject Leasing the Land is a Private Enterprise, Etc. (Excluding 
   Ehime Prefecture, the Land-Development Agency and 
   municipalities)
� Eligibility Conditions
   (1)Eligible Businesses: Businesses that Ehime Prefecture recognizes 
        and invites into the prefecture as able contributors to the 
        development of local industries.
   (2)Business Category: Same as above.
   (3)Condition: Must begin business operations within 2 years from 
        lease contract date.
� Favoring Measure
   Equivalent to one-half of reasonable rent (maximum limit - 
   10 million yen) 

Ehime Prefectural Capital Loans Program for Setting Up New 
Businesses (For Small & Medium Sized Businesses)
�¡Eligibility Conditions: Small and medium sized businesses that meet 
   the Small and Medium Sized Business Standards Law, locating on land 
   suitable for establishing factory facilities.
�¡Funding
   (1)Applies To: Cost for the building of a new factory or building 
        extension facilities to an existent factory, including cost for land 
        and the building.
   (2)Funding Amount: One-half of the applicable cost (maximum limit - 
        100 million yen)
   (3)Eligibility Condition: Rate of Interest - will fluctuate in accordance 
        with the market's rate of interest.   Term of Redemption - 10 years 
        (including the unredeemable period of 2 years) 
   (4)Others: Requirement of employment increase, limits on districts to 
        which the program applies, etc.

��Other than the measures explained above, there are some tax reduction 
and exemption measures applicable to: developing districts where 
manufacturing industries are in development, new industrial urban 
districts, underpopulated districts, farming districts where development 
of industries such as manufacturing is being promoted, and districts 
participating in peninsula promotion operations.
