About Our Products
Japan being an island nation with many volcanoes, has soil poor in calcium. Therefore, agricultural produce also contains little calcium, which leads to the need for calcium supplement through consuming calcium rich foods such as fish.
Masaki-cho, known as the cradle of " chinmi" foods, produces chinmi foods made mainly from fish caught in the Seto Inland Sea and seas near Nagasaki. The natural ingredients - fish - are sweetened with millet jelly and further flavor is added with soy sauce for a sweet and salty taste, and are then dried. They can also be consumed as preserved foods. They may be considered the origin of chinmi foods made from small fish.
